Jenel Cox was crowned Miss Guyana Universe 2009

Jenel Cox was crowned as the new Miss Guyana Universe 2009 held at the National Cultural Centre. She will compete representing her country at the Miss Universe 2009 Beauty Pageant on August 23 at the Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.

First runner-up was Rachael Bakker while the second runner-up is Lucria Rambalak.
